Morgan L. Jones, Jr.

Morgan L. Jones, Jr. began his career as a mechanical engineer, having graduated from General Motors Institute (B.M.E.) and received a Masters Degree from Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute (M.S.) in 1966. After serving in the military from 1966-1969, Mr. Jones returned to enter law school and received his Juris Doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 1974. He joined the firm in 1974 and has enjoyed providing over 35 years of service to individual and business clients throughout Western New York.
Mr. Jones is a native of Lockport, and has had extensive experience representing clients throughout Niagara, Orleans and Erie Counties, predominantly in the areas of Negligence, Litigation, Real Estate, Business and Corporate Law. He has been retained as special counsel in a number of litigations involving municipalities. He is an experienced litigator in Supreme Court, having handled various appeals before the Appellate Division, and has presented appeals to the New York State Court of Appeals.
Mr. Jones is a member of the Lockport Bar Association (where he served as past President), the Niagara County Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association.
His community service has involved active engagement in several local not-for-profits, including the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences (Buffalo Museum of Science) Board of Managers, Secretary, 1999 to present; Friends of Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, Inc., Board of Directors and founding member (reconstruction of Swallow Hollow Trail); Friends of Tifft Nature Preserve, Inc., Board of Directors and founding member; Buffalo Ornithological Society, Inc., past President; and Buffalo Geological Society, Inc.
